Donate

The Rochester Mutual Aid Network needs funds to operate, plain and simple. We use those funds to purchase supplies that the community needs. Those supplies are then distributed to members of the community who seek aid through this site. We offer two different ways you can donate funds, you will find those options below.

Our organization is run by a team composed solely of volunteers and we have almost no administrative costs. We are currently fiscally sponsored under 490 Farmers 501(c)(3), which means donations are tax deductible. Our online payment processor (Stripe) receives a percentage of each online donation, as a fee for processing payments. After those costs are deducted, 100% of the funds we receive go to direct aid for community members.

If you cannot donate money but would still like to help the Network, please consider Getting Involved by volunteering! You can also submit any items you would like to donate to our database, as we try and source items to fulfill requests directly from the community.

You can donate money three different ways!

One-time Donation

If you'd like to make a one-time donation, you can do that here. We use Stripe to process payments, so you can use major credit/debit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay!

Fundraising Values

The Rochester Mutual Aid Network exists because of our community’s commitment to sustaining itself. We could not do this work without support from neighbors like you. We deeply appreciate your help, whether you have:

We are committed to treating our community with respect and openness, so this is our promise to you.

Our Communications: We hope you'll want to hear more about our work, but you will not have to worry about us spamming your inbox. Instead we:

We'll always be clear about how we'll communicate with you. If you tell us you'd rather not be contacted, or you'd rather we didn't contact you in a certain way, we'll act on your wishes.

Our Fundraising: Effectively redirecting funds and aid to our neighbors in need is something we take pride in. To that aim, we will constantly review our fundraising practices to make sure they are fair, sensitive, and appropriate. This includes considering where our aid comes from and evaluating the donor’s ties to our organizational values.

We want all potential donors to understand the issues we work with and the values that drive our work.

Lastly, we will aim to work above and beyond the standards set out by regulatory bodies and to give transparency to our community on how we redirect funds to those in need.

RMAN is a 100% volunteer run network, resulting in little to no administrative costs. This allows us to redirect funds to where it is needed most - back into our community. We are committed to using your time, donations, and supplies to bettering our communities and supporting our neighbors.
